1. Who we are
ADEDGE SOLUTIONS - FZCO ("ADEDGE", "we", "us", or "our") is a free zone company licensed by the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZA / IFZA) under Trade License No. 53976, with its registered office at IFZA Business Park, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
We are the "controller" of your personal data for the purposes of this Privacy Policy unless expressly stated otherwise.
2. Scope and applicable law
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data. It applies to our website at adedgesolutions.net, our email and messaging channels, our client engagements, our recruitment processes, and any other interactions where we act as a controller of personal data.
We process personal data in accordance with the laws that apply to our activities, including primarily the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL) and its implementing regulations. Where we process personal data on behalf of clients located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) or Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), or in jurisdictions with additional applicable laws (including the EU/UK GDPR), we will comply with those laws as required under our engagement contracts.
3. Personal data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identification data — name, job title, company, business contact details such as email address and phone number.
- Communications data — the content of emails, messages, and calls you send or receive through our channels.
- Website data — IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location, and cookie identifiers.
- Marketing data — your preferences for receiving marketing from us, and your engagement with our marketing communications.
- Recruitment data — if you apply for a role, your CV, portfolio, professional history, and any other information you choose to share.
- Client engagement data — information you share with us during an engagement, which may include information about your own customers, employees, or contractors where you have instructed us to process such data as your processor.
We do not deliberately collect sensitive personal data (such as data revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health data, or biometric data) through our website or general business channels. Where such data is strictly necessary for an engagement, we will only process it on the basis of your explicit consent or another lawful basis available under the PDPL.
4. How and why we use your personal data
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to enquiries submitted through our website, email, or phone, and to provide information you have requested.
- To deliver services under our client engagements, including project management, delivery, and billing.
- To send you marketing communications about our services where you have consented to receive them, and to measure engagement with those communications.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and other digital channels.
- To comply with our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- To assess candidates for employment or contractor engagement.
- To protect our rights, property, and the safety of our staff, clients, and others.
5. Lawful basis for processing
Under Article 4 of the UAE PDPL, we may process your personal data where one or more of the following bases apply:
- Consent — where you have given us specific, informed consent (for example, to receive marketing emails).
- Contract — where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, or to take steps at your request before entering into one.
- Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject.
- Legitimate interests — where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests (for example, securing our systems, preventing fraud, responding to business enquiries), provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
- Public interest or vital interest — in the limited circumstances where these grounds apply under UAE law.
Where our processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
6. Sharing personal data with third parties
We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent necessary for the purposes described above:
- Service providers and sub-processors who help us operate our business, including hosting providers, email service providers, CRM and marketing platforms, analytics providers, and professional advisers (accountants, auditors, lawyers).
- Clients, where you are a candidate or a contact referred to us in connection with a client engagement.
- Public authorities, where we are legally required or permitted to disclose personal data.
- Successors in interest, in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of our business.
We require all third-party processors to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and to process personal data only on our documented instructions.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the United Arab Emirates. When we transfer personal data outside the UAE, we do so in accordance with Article 22 of the UAE PDPL — either because the receiving jurisdiction has been recognised as offering an adequate level of protection, or by relying on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules, or your explicit consent.
8. How long we keep personal data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Typical retention periods are:
- Enquiry data: up to 24 months after the last interaction, unless a client relationship is established.
- Client engagement records: up to 7 years after the end of the engagement, to meet UAE tax and record-keeping obligations.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, plus a short grace period to honour the unsubscribe.
- Recruitment data: up to 24 months after the application, unless you ask us to retain it longer for future opportunities.
- Website logs and analytics: typically up to 14 months.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or damage. These measures include access controls, encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, least-privilege administration, staff training, and vendor due-diligence. No information security measure is perfect, and you acknowledge that the transmission of personal data over the internet is at your own risk.
10. Your rights under the UAE PDPL
Subject to the conditions and limitations set out in the UAE PDPL, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Right to be informed about how we collect and use your personal data (this Privacy Policy).
- Right of access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to erasure of your personal data in certain circumstances.
- Right to restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances, including direct marketing.
- Right to data portability, where the processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent.
- Right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or another competent supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@adedgesolutions.net. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and will not charge a fee except in the limited circumstances permitted under the UAE PDPL. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
